We performed this kitchen exhaust system repair in Glendale, CA in June of 2022. This restaurant exhaust system had two holes cut in the top of the duct for access. The holes were covered up by sheet metal and attached with caulk. Needless to say this does not meet code and they needed to be replaced with proper access panels. The area around the holes were cut out and new duct work was welded on the the exhaust system along with proper access panels.
